The centerpiece of this area is the picture-perfect Arenal Volcano. It dominates the skyline and is the reason that most tourists visit Arenal. Bike trips through the Arenal Volcano National Park, boat rides along Lake Arenal, and canopy tours through the rainforest are some of the best ways to engage with this area. Other attractions within the area include a 200-ft waterfall and a number of pleasant geothermal hot springs.

Hotel Arenal Paraiso has an astounding 14 swimming pools. All pools are fed by natural spring water and are thus high in mineral content. Some pools are smaller and intimate, while others are quite large. The pool temperatures range from 107°F (42° C) to 78° F (26° C). In addition to these pools, the hotel also offers guests use of their private trails, which spread throughout the hotel’s 160 acres (65 ha).

If relaxation is in order, guests can take advantage of the hotel’s spa. The spa offers a number of treatments – including massages, exfoliation and facials – as well as the use of a sauna and small gym.

There are two restaurants – one centers of national and international cuisine, while the other specializes in meat and steaks. Both are spacious and have panoramic views of the Arenal Volcano.

The accommodations at Arenal Paraiso are stocked with amenities. All have a private hot water bathroom, a ceiling fan and mini-fridge. They come equipped with a private balcony facing the Arenal Volcano, and some rooms even have a Jacuzzi-tub in the bathroom.

Superior Rooms - in addition to all the amenities of the Standard Rooms, these rooms are more spacious and have a safe deposit box. The balcony is also enclosed with glass windows.

Suites - these suites can sleep up to eight people. Each suite has two bedrooms, each of which has its own hot water bathroom. The main bedroom has a king size bed and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub. The second bedroom has two double beds. Additionally, there is a sofa bed in the living room. All suites are equipped with a refrigerator, telephone, air conditioning, safe deposit box, cable TV, microwave, coffee maker, living room, and a balcony that has either a volcano or forest view.
