Playa Conchal is the resort corridor for properties such as the W Costa Rica, Westin Playa Conchal and Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Your driver drops you right at your resort. No shared shuttle, no waiting on other passengers.

Stops along the way

One hour of free wait time is included, popular for:

• Lake Arenal viewpoints as you head northwest.
• A stop in Cañas or Liberia for a meal or a break.
• A photo stop as the landscape opens into Guanacaste's dry plains and beaches.

Longer stops can be arranged for an additional fee, priced when you book.

Road notes

The route runs through mountains before dropping into Guanacaste's flatter terrain, with the final stretch on resort access roads. We advise against driving after dark, and June–November rain can bring potholes on the mountain stretch out of Arenal.

Vehicles

A sedan or SUV covers 1 to 4 travelers with standard luggage; a premium van fits 5 to 8; a Sprinter is available for larger groups, golf bags or extra luggage. Child seats are available on request.
